Baseball Hall of Fame documentary

In May, Video Soup contributed to a documentary set to debut later this summer for the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. NYC production company Hock Films (ESPN 30for30) tapped Video Soup to record interviews in Kansas City and St Louis. Producer & sports journalist Joe Posnanski interviewed Hall of Famers George Brett & Cardinals legend Ozzie Smith, Royals MVP Eric Hosmer, and broadcasters Joe Buck & Bob Costas.

Ron Howard ran audio, and 4K content was captured on my Sony FS7 with Zeiss super-speed. So fun!

TV commercials: Journey from KC to Padre Island

Schlitterbahn Waterparks tapped Video Soup to shoot some of their 2016 season’s TV ads which features new footage unique only to each waterpark. As a Kansas City crew, we spent a few days shooting KC waterpark scenes. Our surprise was a few days later when we were asked to repeat the effort, this time at their resort in Padre Island. Oh yea!! Here’s the link to both spots.

4K in demand

Since investing in the Sony FS7 this past year, the need for 4K acquisition has become more evident.  In November Video Soup once again worked with Sports Illustrated to shoot interviews and some b-roll for a story on the future of NFL stadiums.  Kansas City is blessed to be the home to sports architects firms like Populous whom SI tapped for their expertise.  It was an honor to work with two great brands!
